Sales Course:
A total of 72 hours of approved classroom education is required to comply with State of Wisconsin regulations to receive a salespersons license. The Sales Course is available as a classroom course - tuition $399.00. The textbook for the classroom course is included in the tuition. Sales Course classroom instruction is continuous so a student may begin at any time. The Sales Course is also offered as a home study course - tuition $399.00. The textbook and audiotapes for home study course are included in the tuition. Home Study courses are not subject to the classroom hour requirements.
Broker Course:
To receive a brokers license, an additional 36 classroom hours is required. The Broker Course is available only as a home study course (tuition $299.00) and the textbook and audiotapes are included in the tuition.
Both Courses:
Students will be given study material that should be completed for each class. The average time period to be spent preparing for each lesson is two hours. All questions and definitions that appear on the worksheets will be discussed in class. Each student will be able to fill out the listing and offer contracts, the closing statements and understand the rules, regulations and laws governing the real estate profession. Each student should have the basic technical tools and competency to engage in the practice of real estate.
Upon completion of either the Sales Course or Broker Course, each student will be prepared to take the required examination. Pre-licensing education must be completed prior to taking the examination. The exam is offered by Promissor Testing Service. Students may register with Promissor and schedule their own exam time.
Upon passing the individual examination, the student is required to present the applicable certificate (Sales or Broker) issued by the Institute to the Department of Regulation & Licensing in Madison in order to receive the appropriate license.
