All insurance agents holding licenses in any of the following lines of insurance: property, casualty, life, accident & health, and auto must complete continuing education credit-hours in each biennium. Each agent has been assigned a renewal date according to their birth month and the odd or even numbered year they were originally licensed. Non-resident agents may not need to take courses in Wisconsin if the agents resident state has a reciprocal agreement with Wisconsin. In any event, non-residents will be required to submit a letter of certification at the reporting date identifying that they have completed the continuing education requirements in their home state. No self-study or correspondence courses will qualify for continuing education credit unless they are approved in advance by OCI. If credits are not earned by the due date on your license,license will be suspended. Agents not completing the required hours within 60 days of their due date will have their licenses revoked. ALL COURSES ARE EXPECTED TO BE CLE-APPROVED.
Promissor/Sircon been retained by OCI to administer and provide record-keeping services for the insurance continuing education program. Robbins & Lloyd will submit course completion information directly to SIRCON. Agents will not be responsible for filing their completion certificates with Promissor. They may contact Promissor directly at (800) 274-4679. Recorded credit hours for the current biennium may be accessed on the Internet at www.SIRCON.com.
Students are responsible to ensure that no course duplication occurs. A student will not receive credit from Promissor for the same course taken more that once in a biennium.
