Appraisal Pre-Licensing

The 90 hours of pre-licensing education required to become a Licensed Appraiser can be earned by completing the 2 classroom courses outlined below. Tuesday and Thursday evening classes run from 6 pm to 9:30 pm. Saturday Class begin at 8:30 am and finish at 4:30 pm. The requirement can also be met by completing the homestudy course outlined below.

Appraisal Pre-Licensing Classroom Courses
INTRODUCTION TO REAL ESTATE APPRAISAL ($1065.00)
Description: The first 30-hour segment deals with the appraisal profession, the real estate market place, and basic appraisal principles and procedures. The second segment of 45-hours deals with market analysis and highest and best use, site valuation and the cost approach. It will also cover sales comparison and income approach. Fall 2007 Class Dates: Call for schedule,(Exam) NOTE: If paid in full at registration, you will receive a $100 discount for a grand total of $1,165.00
UNIFORM STANDARDS OF PROFESSIONAL APPRAISAL PRACTICE ($200.00)
Description: This 15-hour course is required for all appraisal classifications and is the Appraisal Foundation-approved USPAP course. It covers FIRREA, Title XI, appraisal regulation - federal and state laws, Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, WI Statutes 458 and Administrative Rules, and the Application Process. Fall 2007 Class Dates: Call for schedule (Exam)

Home Study

We are pleased to announce that we are now offering Wisconsin Appraisal Pre-Licensing courses on the Internet. You can complete the required education at home or wherever you have a computer and you can do it on your schedule. Wherever texts are required, they are available in a “pdf” format at no additional charge. All courses are approved by the Appraisal Foundation and the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing.
